F1 Grand Prix Review: Spain, Round 5

Qualifying

Weather was stable in Barcelona on Saturday, and the usual results followed. The Mercedes duo topped the timesheets to put in a one-two, filling out the first row of the grid, this time with Nico Rosberg in front of his double World Champion teammate. The German who was yet to win a race in 2015 confessed that Bahrain was still on his mind and he was keen to make a mends to his ill performance.

F1 Grand Prix Review: Bahrain, Round 4

Qualifying

As the dessert sun sunk lazily behind the dusty horizon, the F1 paddock came to life. As the first engines revved up, we were on the brink of qualifying in the Middle East. Ferrari was the big talking point this weekend where Vettel aimed to get his first pole position for the red team, which would have been the Scuderia’s first in 52 races. Slightly further down the grid, Latin Pastor Maldonado was keen to get his Lotus upfront. Strangely, out of his 80 races thus far in his Formula One career, he has only finished in the points on eight occasions.

Grand Prix Review: Shanghai, Round 3

Qualifying

Mercedes finished in their typical one-two fashion as Rosberg was just a shade off from Hamilton at 0.04s. The usual second row was fought out by the Ferrari’s and Williams cars. Kimi Raikkonen is “frustrated” by his bad habits in qualifying after he failed to set a quick lap, thus slotting himself eighth on the grid.  As for the rest of the drivers, they filled their expected positions. McLaren once again lined up at the back of the grid with no real change in fast lap pace. Roughly one second behind them came the Manor duo.
